• Strategic sourcing, engineering interfaces, issuing and evaluating RFQs, QAFS analysis, commercial issues and negotiations, cost reduction opportunities and overall supplier management.
• Ownership of BoM costs and Investment portfolio.

• RFQs management for multiple components within commodity group
• Identify opportunities to create savings and improve efficiencies through negotiations with suppliers
• Follow good practice in sourcing activities and supplier assessment to achieve sourcing and nomination decisions
• Analyse data on cost, prices, margins and mark ups on submitted prices from suppliers quote and follow up negotiation to reduce prices whilst retaining or improving other aspects of value for money, such as quality, availability and sustainability
• Work with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve added value outcomes in procurement and supply Lead a strategic sourcing approval process
• Purchase Order Management, Project related through multiple build phases and change activities.
• Cost management thorough key target activities and PPV Cross Functional Support from design concept through to production & delivery Work with SQA to identify and assess the quality of parts to ensure quality standards are achieve and drive continuous qualityimprovement
• Develop commodity sourcing strategies and sourcing efficiencies to achieve a robust Supply Chain Review volume data on demand forecast to communicate to suppliers and other stakeholders
• Undertake due diligence on suppliers to evaluate the risks of breaching ethical standards, financial factors and capacity constraints before sourcing

Profile

• Experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems for procurement and supply activities, such as EPICOR / SAP or other ERP/MRP purchasing systems
• Experience in data analytics on the supply chain to assist planning, forecasting, control and decision making
• Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in procurement by improving profitability, savings and efficiencies through the 5 rights applied to commercial agreements.
• Promote commitment amongst stakeholders to achieve the objectives sought by the procurement and supply chain function
• Strong interpersonal skills required to ensure internal stakeholders obtain approvals for commitment to requisitions, orders and invoices
• Experience in negotiating with stakeholders/suppliers to promote effective procurement in the stages of a sourcing process taking steps to overcome conflict and challenges
• Strategic evaluation approach, recommending strategy choices to improve the organisations short- and long-term performance
• Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of business / corporate strategies through added value procurement and supply chain management
• Develop approaches to mitigate the impact of markets on supply chain and take actions to exploit opportunities, as well as assessing pricing and competitive behaviour by organisations in the supply chain

Job Offer

• £35-40k
