SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Buyer to join a Global enterprise supplying Engineering components and services to the Automotive industry on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for establishing and managing positive supply chain relationships to deliver business objectives such as on-time supplier sourcing, cost management and parts availability. The Role: - As the Buyer you will negotiate contracts, improves prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. - Develop supply chain mapping methods to identify opportunities for improvement in various commodities. - Build and maintain supply base while focusing on supplier development; develop and implement score-carding methods. - Lead/support value analysis, value engineering (VAVE) activities with other internal and external business. - Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. The Candidate: As the successful candidate for the Buyer position, you will have the following: - Minimum of 2 years within a Procurement role within the Automotive industry. - Change Management experience. - An understanding of BOMs. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - CIPS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
