Our Client Our Client deliver better ways to do best in class’ work for the automotive aftermarket by constantly leading additives technologies and services for passenger cars.Our client is part of a dynamic group of companies, manufacturing and supplying high quality fluids to the automotive aftermarket industry.Accountability & Objectives The Business Unit Controller will be responsible for providing timely financial information and guiding effective business decisions that deliver profitable business growth.The Business Unit Controller will be responsible for maintaining effective internal control systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.The role requires talent management skills to grow and develop a team (8 colleagues).Key Responsibilities:FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ANALYSIS:• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Business Unit financial information in compliance with our clients Policies and GAAP.• Prepare/review financial bridge schedules that explain financial results and submit to Senior Management.• Work with direct reports to prepare and analyse KPIs, Dashboards and Business Unit financial statements.OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTING:• Manage the financial activities of the Business Unit which includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.• Assist the operating managers to make good business decisions based on finance data.• Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls.• Apply our clients Principles (80/20, Product Line Simplification, Segmentation) and drive changes to eliminate complexity and improve the profitability of the company.• FINANCIAL PLANNING• Prepare the financials for annual plans, monthly outlooks, and other special analyses.• CAPITAL PLANNING • Perform "capital expenditures" audits that measure results of projects against original expectations and estimates.• Ensure that all "capital expenditures" projects and "capital expenditures" audit reports are completed and submitted to management on a timely basis.• Follow up and report the key performance indicators of the activity in the business.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:• Identify, lead and develop talent to maximise individual, team and organisational effectiveness in meeting company goals.• This will include:• Regular communication to generate engagement, to share business strategy and goals, create alignment and reinforce commitment.• Attract, select and on boarding talent when needed.• Delivering effective feedback to motivate better performance and facilitate professional growth.OPERATIONS:• Stock management, logistics, agents.• Stock order & stock control• Leases• Insurances• Logistics Issues• Waste informationDIRECT SALES MODEL MANAGEMENT & CONTROL:• Invoicing & commissions.• Salesmen’s contracts• Rebates• Promotions• Margin analysis• Sales reports• Customer Service issuesQualifications:• University Degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar• Minimum 5-year experience in financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction, inventory control, tracking and managing costs against a budget, and tracking P&L results.• Preferable experience in auditing and manufacturing sectors.• Preferable people management experience.• Travelling +/- 10%.• Skills & Competences• Influence management to make great strategic choices.• Deliver great results.• Commercial awareness and business understanding.• Good communication and presentation skills.• Great talent manager.• Multicultural awareness.• Ability to drive change and improvements in the organisation.• Collaborative style, team playerFor further information please contact;Lewis Williams, Head of Chemical Division @ Intelligent Employment Required skills
