Job Description

The RoleOur head office is in Glasgow, however the candidate can be based anywhere in the UK for this role. We have an exciting opportunity for a Doorset Business Development Manager to support the business nationally. You will work in partnership with the business to support the delivery of a customer and profitable growth strategy, through improving effectiveness across key account customers Including the Specification Sector, whilst identifying continued sales opportunities for Fully Integrated Commercial Doorsets.Main Purpose

  • Driving Performance. Directly responsible for the National BDM Doorset Team and to work collaboratively across the business to identify behaviours and capabilities required, ensuring we deliver on our customer promise
  • Customer Account Management. Primary contact for key customer accounts, recognising opportunities across the business for expanding commercial Timber Doorset sales. Ensuring Customers receive excellent service, whilst continuously expanding on our customer offer
  • Business Improvement. Working with the Commercial Director providing improved business solutions that drive delivery of continuation from the business to the customer across designated accounts.
  • Contribute to the Creation of Sales Strategy. Working with the Commercial Director to deliver an exceptional customer experience, whilst improving George Boyds market position, in particular to establish our commercial Timber Doorset
  • Customer Service. Understanding your customers needs through recognising, adapting and resolving any issues that may occur while servicing the customer, internally and externally. Implementing new ways of working to continually develop the internal/external customer value and drive efficiency proposition
  • Project Management. Scopes and delivers projects for customers, align sales team to ensure the customer project life cycle and the business provides a seamless customer experience
  • Sustainable Results. Supports, challenges and drives delivering of long term sustainability of Company, Government practices, policies and processes
  • Skills/Experience
  • Driving licence is required as travel will be involved.
  • Previous in-depth knowledge of the services and products our company provide, including the market and competition
  • Customer relationship management experience is essential
  • Must have proven, planning organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to interpret reports, having a good understanding of budgets, forecasting and tracking customer spend and activity
