This is an exciting opportunity for a member of the Sikh community to join our chaplaincy team in a bank capacity. You will join a cutting edge team whose foundations are set in the core principals of Chaplaincy, caring for and supporting patients, their families and carers, and staff across our whole service. This includes working in acute, mental health, hospice and community contexts. The Chaplaincy team at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire are at the fore of innovation and lead projects which include social prescribing, community clinics for COPD patients using an Asset Based Community Development model. Our Compassionate Communities service supports patients and their families through long term illness, at end of life care and in bereavement across Coventry & Warwickshire. The team currently consists of Chaplains, Community Development Workers and numerous Honorary Chaplains from a variety of different denominations, faiths and belief groups. We also work in partnership with a variety of groups from within the NHS and Voluntary Sector.The successful candidate will be required to travel within the area as part of the role.We are looking for a person who has experience as a Sikh minister/faith leader who would like join our team and continue to build relationships within the Sikh community.For further details / informal visits contact:Simon BetteridgeLead Chaplain & Bereavement Services Managersimon.betteridge@uhcw.nhs.uk
