AWS EngineerWest Midlands / Remote3 Month Initial ContractWe are currently looking for experienced AWS Engineer; to work across innovative technology programmes, for a market-leading branded client of ours, based in the West Midlands, who are currently undergoing a significant and exciting Transformation Programme.The successful AWS Engineer will be responsible for the design, build and implementation of technical solutions using Cloud technologies to meet business requirements and aligned to architectural strategyThe ideal AWS Engineer will have a strong background in implementing new infrastructure within medium-large enterprises. You will also enjoy developing code and have made the leap to bring these two aspects together to automate the delivery of new infrastructure solutions, making it easy to deploy. You will also be experienced in developing infrastructure-as-code, utilising pipelines and tools such as Github, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Ansible or similar.In order to be successful within this AWS Engineer role; you will have the below skills/experience:- Demonstrable experience in Scripting and Programing Languages – Powershell, Python and Shell- Solid experience of core Amazon infrastructure including EC2, S3, ELB’s, Auto scaling, Lambda, RDS, VPC’s, Security Groups, IAM, Cloud Formation- Understanding of Amazon availability zones, regions and HA strategies- In-depth understanding of cloud based architectures, specifically AWS- Previous experience as a NetworkLinuxWindows system administrator building & supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems (or equivalent)- Previous experience of supporting virtualization technologies (or equivalent)- Strong scripting/automation skillsSystems management procedures in a large commercial, mission-critical environment. - Capacity planning, performance tuning, proactive monitoring.- Change control, delivery pipelines, release procedures and tools.- ITIL based service management frameworkIf you are a highly experienced, professional and motivated AWS Engineer and would relish the opportunity to be part of this high-performing technical team then I would like to hear from you.Please apply directly online and if you are successful; one of the team will be in touch.
