Since its inception, the SLP has been a resilient and effectivepartnership that has improved patient experience, introduced innovation, and developed new services across the 12 boroughs of south London.Main Duties:Band 4 Assistant psychologistTo work holistically with children and young people with ASD / ADHD, who require specific interventions and support.To support families and carers to understand and carry out specific strategies that will support their young people to better manage their difficulties through telephone consultation or in sessions.To carry out observations and relevant paperwork contributing to preschool or school age ASD and ADHD assessments with the support of the multi-disciplinary team.To contribute to the development of risk assessments alongside the clinical team.To demonstrate a positive attitude when working alongside children and young people with ASD / ADHD who may display behaviours of concern or who are anxious.Expectation require for applying for this role you will need:The post holder will work as part of the Rise Service under the supervision of a qualified clinician.The service is for children and young people experiencing difficulties with their mental health and emotional well-being as well as children and young people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ASD and ADHD). Rise has a multi-professional and Multi agencyworkforce which works across Coventry and Warwickshire.This post has been created to support the newly developed clinical pathways within the Neurodevelopmental Services. The pathways focus on group work for both parents and for the children and young people themselves. The post holder will complete observationsof preschool children to support with the ASD diagnostic process and provide advice and support to families both before and after the assessment process.The post holder will co-lead groups with senior clinicians as well as work with the clinical coordinator in the team to organise and arrange the groups. The content of the groups will be led by clinicians however the post holder along with the Clinical Coordinatorwill support with the development of supporting resources.A key part of the role is recording, analysing and reporting outcome data from the group to inform commissioners and service development.System knowledge:Good use of IT systems, MS office packagesWho are NHS ProfessionalsIf a hospital cannot supply staff on a ward or area, due to increased demand, sickness, or common staff shortages, they need to call upon Bank staff.
