Together were shaping a cleaner, greener future for our 11 million customers who we put at the heart of everything we do.The OpportunityAs an Asset Investment Senior Engineer, youll be responsible for ensuring delivery of Cadents plans and meet our regulatory commitments. In this role, you will seek to optimise the balance of cost, risk, and performance of the gas distribution networkassets in line with our customer and stakeholder expectations. You will lead and support projects to improve Cadents Asset Management Maturity and build partnerships and strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the objectives are metKey accountabilities

• Responsible for training, development and management of junior asset investment engineers
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the monetised risk models in line with our license obligations 3.1 and 9.2.
• Accountable for the creation of specialist regulatory reporting on Cadents Monetised Risk position to track investment delivery and understand the effectiveness of our investment decisions and plans
• Accountable for applying Engineering and asset management knowledge to cleanse, collate and manipulate complex data sets from multiple sources and systems in order to show the monetised risk reduction on completed and planned investment work across Cadentsasset portfolio
• Accountable for providing regular regulatory reports to clearly articulate our regulatory performance to Ofgem against our Monetised Risk targets
• Accountable for utilising the different monetised risk asset models and Asset Investment Manager (AIM) software develop models and scenario tests to inform investment strategies and decisions
• Lead and support projects to improve Cadents Asset Management Maturity
• Lead and embed positive safety culture and process safety within team to improve collective safety performance ensuring adherence to company policy, aims and objectives

About youWere looking for individuals who hold the following skills and experience:

Degree level qualification with quantitative element / mathematics / statistics

Asset Management certification/diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrable experience in statistical/complex data analysis

Demonstrable experience in asset management or engineering environments

Strategic and ordered thinker with strong analytical skills

Excellent grasp of statistical analysis e.g. different distributions and regression analysis, ratios, proportions, and percentages

Understanding of Cadents asset hierarchy and appreciation of engineering knowledge regarding asset failure modes, failure impacts

Understanding of SAP, ESRI and other core systems with the ability to extract data

A clear line of sight between the modelling approach to investment and business drivers<sp
