Job Description

Our client is a thriving logistics company based in Coventry. They are a global leading company specialising in fast and efficient logistics solutions across a wide range of industries. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced and professional Airfreight Logisitics Coordinator to work in their team. This is an excellent opportunity with genuine variety and in return for your hard work and dedication, the company can offer significant routes for progression. The successful candidate will have prior Airfrieght experience.Please note: The working hours are Monday-Friday 10.30am - 7:30pm with 1 hour break. The company offers 30 days holiday (including 8 BHs) rising to 33 with service along with other fantastic benefits.Main responsibilities:

  • Liaise with air freight agents in order to ensure the most cost-effective, premium service is achieved.
  • Planning and managing time-critical air freight solutions throughout the EU and globally. Also supporting UK when required.
  • Engaging with suppliers and agreeing on the best transport solution to meet their needs - rate negotiation where necessary.
  • Proactively identifying and troubleshooting logistics challenges to ensure a seamless service.
  • Ensuring the bespoke computer system is correctly monitored and updated.
  • Building excellent relationships with clients.
  • Updating clients in a professional manner and dealing with enquiries promptly and efficiently.
    • Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous Global air freight forwarding experience is essential.
  • Customs management & Ocean freight experience are highly desirable.
  • Time critical logistics experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced transport/logistics environment.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer focused and proactive.
