Autonomy is one of the key advantages of this role, working in a relatively small (@55 staff) privately owned company involved in Big data around the marketing industry, this role will suit someone who would enjoy the chance to be pro-active about taking on board new tech.Learning and development is also at the core of the company ethos with a training budget and a keenness to allow staff time to develop their skills and learning outside of the day to day.Being part of a smaller company allows everyone to get to know each other and their particular range of technical offerings as well as events, allows for a range of different hard working but sociable colleagues. The role is dynamic and very hands on, a chance to make an impact!You will need a strong developed knowledge of web services and technical infrastructure based around Linux primarily as well as windows. You will work day to day with Apache, Bash/powershell, databases including SQL server and MySQL, hopefully some Networking, DNS, AD as well as the Web apps, API’s, Docker etcInternally client facing and reporting to the TechOps lead, you will be responsible for the secure operation of company web applications and client websites, help with network operations, be part of out of hours rota (1 weekend/evenings out of 4, but it’s very minimal). As well as maintaining and evolving the companies AWS technical infrastructureYou’ll be skilled enough to be self sufficient and super confident in Linux and Windows sysadmin, and have strong troubleshooting skillsNormally the office is in central London but for the time being home working is the case.
