Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Assistant Manager to join a leading, luxurious tilemanufacturers for Durham based showroom.The brand has a strongportfolio of high-quality ceramic, porcelain, glass, mosaic and stone tiles.The business is experiencing year on year growth, with products available in over 60 countries and over 2000 retail outlets worldwide, theres never been a more exciting time to join them!If you are a team leader, supervisor or a staff member looking to progress in your retail career, then this could be a great role for you! Alternatively, if you are an existing Assistant Manager, this could be an exciting new challenge for you that offersgenuine career development.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:These are the main functions of the job but the incumbent may be required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the demands of the business.SHOWROOM & PRODUCTS:

  • Key holderopening and closing the showroom.
  • Assisting the Retail Manager in the running of the showroom.
  • Showroom security/health and safety.
  • Stock replenishment.
  • Maintaining up-to-date POS.
  • Developing in-showroom displays.
  • Identifying areas in the product range where improvements are required.
  • Assisting with showroom paperwork.
  • Continually learn about new products and ranges.
  • Banking duties.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
  • Managing, supervising and motivating staff.
  • Training and developing new and existing team members.
  • Endorse and promote a positive and conscious health and safety culture within the Company.
  • Ensure always take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality and human resource policies and procedures.
CUSTOMER FOCUSED:
  • Serving and assisting customersproviding a high level of expertise and knowledge.
  • Dealing with customer complaints.
  • Processing sales/cash handling.
SALES & TARGETS FOCUSED:
  • Monitoring and maintaining monthly sales targets.
  • Generating new sales through local businesses.
