Job Description

Workshop EngineerFull Time, PermanentCorbyUp to £35,000 (DOE) + Overtime (Realistic £40k P.A)In a nutshell…Our client is a global leader of material handling solutions with a huge presence in the UK. They have been established for 40 years and are at the leading edge of creating innovative solutions for their customers all over the world.Due to continued growth and expansion, a Workshop Engineer is required to service, maintain, and repair their range of equipment. The ideal candidate will have engineering experienced in plant, agriculture, vehicle or the HGV industry. We would also encouragecandidates to apply who have a good electrical and mechanical engineering background within a manufacturing environment as full training will be provided.Working within an established engineering team, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults with machinery, preparing new equipment for delivery and refurbishing used equipment. You will ensure that all products supplied meet industry standards and arefit for purpose.Whats involved for the Workshop Engineer…

  • Carry out maintenance and repair on a wide range of plant machinery
  • Carry out refurbishments and accident damage repair work
  • Deal with all mechanical and electrical work on vehicles and equipment
  • Fault find and diagnose electrical issues
What youll need…
  • Commercial vehicle, HGV, LGV, Agricultural, FLT, heavy plant machinery or automotive background
  • Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment also considered
  • MUST have mechanical and electrical experience
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Ability to interpret technical information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
