Job Description

Adventurous Careers for the Driven!Vehicle Washers / Drivers Temporary, Full TimeJoin our Groupe CAT UK team as we develop and build our new flagship technical centre based at Rockingham Logistics Hub in Corby, where we will be providing technical services, finished vehicle logistics, fleet and compound management services to automotive manufacturers and fleet operators.RMS are the HR partner of Groupe CAT UK and have 15 successful years working together. We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Maintenance Co-ordinator to join a newly formed team within Groupe CAT UK.We are looking for individuals who can work well in a team environment and on there own, must be able to drive, some who is punctual, reliable, honest, hard working with experience of valeting cars.The purpose of this role is to carry out out externals washes and dry the vehicles prior to their final Quality Inspection whilst following Health and Safety procedures. Key Responsibilities include

  • Clean the exteriors of vehicles using high-pressure hoses, dry them with chamois leathers, before presenting them to the client
  • Ensure internal systems (computerised and paperwork) are updated with the status when the vehicle has been collected and completed
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping within the Department.
  • Duties include moving and Drive vehicles around if/when required, observing the signage and keeping speed limits
    • Our clients operation runs between 6am and 10pm, shift patterns are in operation along with extended working hours, due to the demands of the client the working hours can change at short notice therefore flexibility towards working hours is essentialFor insurance reasons all applicants must have at least one years driving experience, hold a valid Drivers Licence with less than 6 penalty points and no DR offences.
  • Key Skills
  • You will have previous experience working within the automotive industry within a busy and fast paced environment
  • Experience undertaking valets or wash-offs
  • Computer literate
  • Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles
  • Possesses a "can do" attitude and displays flexibility in their approach to work
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Health & Safety Minded
  • The use of initiative needs to be taken to ensure that all vehicles are distributed meeting the necessary quality standards
  • The ability to prioritise workloads is essential
  • To be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support each department
  • To be familiar with the workings of other departments and the ability to multi task to support other areas throughout busy periods.
