Job Description

Tekla Detailer Required for our client in the construction sector. Due to ongoing demand, they are looking to bring on board a Steel Detailer who will be working on a range of projects such as Staircases, Corporal trade buildings, Barriers& protection, Access solutions/ladders, Platforms, Gateways & walkways.The Steel Detailer will be still be actively involved in the Design of projects using 3D walkthrough animation service as well and will be performing Structure analysis. The rest of the time will be spend providing technical support to the wider team andimproving design standards as well as liaising with the Contracts Managers and other departments to ensure efficient delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills within a design environment. You must also be based within commutabledistance of Kettering.Tekla Detailer Position Overview

  • Design architectural, secondary, and structural steel structures
  • Work with the information supplied by structural engineers to meet clients specifications
  • Work alongside a team of approximately 5 designers
  • Liaising with different company departments, clients and engineers
  • Providing technical support as required
  • Overseeing timely production of designs ready for the manufacturing team
  • Site survey coordination
  • Improving design standards through assisting design team
Tekla Detailer Position Requirements
  • HNC qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience leading a team of designers
  • Industry experience design experience, preferably in fabrication/structural steel
  • Proficient with AutoCAD 2D
  • Experience in Tekla Structures is key
  • Knowledge in a range of softwares such as, Advanced steel, Tekla, Revit, Trimble
  • A good understanding of BS and Euro design regulations
  • Based within commutable distance of Kettering
Tekla Detailer Position Remuneration
  • Salary up to £40,000
  • Hours: 8.30am - 5pm
  • Flexi working
