Their brand is synonymous with outstanding levels of quality and service.The Sales & Commercial Director will be a key appointment within the senior management team and will play an integral part in devising and implementing Sales and Marketing strategy and contributing to the ongoing growth and continuous improvement of this robust and forward-thinking business.The Role Leading the sales and marketing teams, you will be an integral part of the senior management function with strategic commercial responsibility.

  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational sales, marketing and customer relationship activities.
  • Continuous coaching and leadership of the sales team incorporating structured goal setting and improvement of commercial negotiating skills.
  • Analysis of sales data to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Continued input in to targeted Marketing to continue to build market presence.
  • Continuous coaching and leadership of the Sales team incorporating structured goal setting and upskill training.
  • Create short, medium and long-term commercial strategies to deliver this growth, supporting and training the sales team to deliver it.
  • Produce reports including Strategy, Market Segment Focus and Market Analysis to help develop and shape annual and long-range planning. Whilst also providing detailed monthly reports.
  • Perform market research and develop business cases to assess business potential and return on investment.
  • Overall responsibility for the product and marketing strategy and supervision of planning and sales promotions for products.
  • Build a highly effective and motivated team of sales and marketing professionals.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve growth targets.
  • Monitor all market developments and pipeline business to ensure that they are in line with company business aims.
  • Review the profitability of new and existing sales agreements.
  • Support cross divisional projects as and when required
  • The person This is a pivotal role for the business and is a key part of the senior management team, we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
  • A strong track record in commercial sales, ideally within foodservice equipment or an allied sector selling to the foodservice industry.
  • Able to regularly analyse and manipulate data to devise commercial strategy.
  • Ability to research the market and put together a strategic business plan with the commitment to track and monitor results.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, results focused.
  • Established experience gained in a senior role overseeing and developing sales professionals.
  • Responsibility for budgetary, financial and strategic planning.
  • Able to quickly establish respect from internal and external stake-holders.
  • Hands-on management style -leads from the front and is strong in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills with the ability to produce analysis from data derived from several sources.
  • Focused on delivering commercial growth in accordance with Group/Corporate strategy.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally/nationally and work away from home as required.
  • Resilient and robust with the ability to work with precision and pace, responds well to change and drives positive change and improvement.
