Job Description

Manufacturing ManagerCorby based: Commutable from: Kettering , Desborough, Peterborough£40,000- £50,000 + Bonus + Holidays + World Leading Company Are you a Manufacturing Manager looking to join a world leading business offering a technically diverse and highly autonomous position working in a state of the art facilityDue to their overseas and European offices opening and continued growth and investment they are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join the team.In this autonomous role you will be responsible for is responsible for the application of approved engineering policies and practices to minimize variability and improve operating performance and quality, reduce waste and delays, and otherwise promote costreductions and a high level of efficiency.This is a great chance to implement your skills and knowledge within the management team for a fast growing, globally recognised company that will support your career development.The Role:

  • You will be involved with the capacity planning, staffing and staff development planning, production methods, supervision of salaried and hourly personnel, equipment layout, material handling, and effective facility, manpower, equipment and material utilization.
  • Effectively manage staffing and machine resources to ensure the production unit achieves all of its associated production objectives, including but not limited to, production scheduling, quality levels, productivity, factory responsiveness, work-in-processinventory, and cost.
  • Effectively implements continuous improvement efforts with the goal of improving quality, reducing cost and improving overall performance
The Person:
  • Degree level preferably in the areas of Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering. Substantial experience can offset part of the education requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) intermediate to advanced and knowledge of MRP, JIT and general accounting principles.
