Job Description

Maintenance Engineer£40,000 to £43,000 plus Up to 10% bonus, 10% Pension, 34 days holiday including Bank holidays & more BenefitsCorbyFood ManufacturingA Food Manufacturing company are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work a afternoon shift Monday to Friday. Being responsible for conducting routine & reactive maintenance on food processing machinery and reducing downtime. You will be an apprenticetrained Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.As a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the successful maintenance, PPMsandcontinuous improvementschedule ofelectricalandmechanicalengineering.
  • Servicing, repair and installation across fast moving packaging and food manufacturing machinery.
  • Record any machinery errors to reduce downtime and increases efficiency across the site.
  • Communicate with Engineering & Production Manager on any machinery issues, breakdown or shut downs.
  • Record all work and activity on internal system.
  • Build effective relationships with other departments, specifically Production team.
  • Work with Operative on basic maintenance to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain our strong Food Safety and Health & Safety standards at all times
An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.
  • Apprentice, HNC or HND trained with electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Confident conducting reactive and routine maintenance.
  • Understanding of PLCs & HMIs with ability to fault find.
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills.
