Job Description

Did you know we have been awarded top UK & Global Employer 5 Years Running!This role will see you working with Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, one of the worlds leading producers of engineered, high-performance polymer products, serving virtually every major industry across the globe.Based at our Corby site, the Maintenance & Junior Process Engineer role will support the production team with the day to day tasks and projects to meet the business needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Work under supervision from the Maintenance & Production Supervisor and other key personnel at Corby to gain practical knowledge & Experience of the Processes, Operations and Business
  • Complete Maintenance, Engineering tasks and projects to meet the needs of the business
  • Participate in World Class Manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Work with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers
  • Ensure safety is paramount to all activities carried out, and as a result all safety practices must be conducted
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the company
What skills and experience are we looking for
  • Previous experience within a production/engineering industrial environment, ideally manufacturing
  • Proven experience of completing maintenance and process engineering activities
  • Excellent awareness and attitude with regards to Environmental Health & Safety
  • Ability to complete/lead small engineering projects
  • Ideally experienced in supervision and coordination of external contractors
  • Ideally been involved in continuous improvements initiatives
  • Able to work well as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
What qualifications are we looking for
  • Apprentice trained in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Level 2 NVQ or C&G in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Level 3 NVQ or C&G in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
