Job Description

ROLE: Machine Operator LOCATION: CorbyHOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday 0600-1400 / 1400-2200 (Rotating)BASIC SALARY: £410 PER WEEKADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Overtime pay, 30 days holiday, death in service, cycle to work scheme, career progression.Company ProfileOur client is seeking a Machine Operator to join their organisation based in Corby on a permanent basis. Be part of a well invested €400m European food group with a brand new Corby based state of the art factory with the capability for further growth driven by new product and business development and manufacturing efficiencys.In this Machine Operator role, you will be responsible for:

  • To own and run a continuous production line
  • To set the machine to the required job and customer specification
  • To ensure that the machine is in a safe working condition and that health and safety rules are adhered to at all times.
  • To follow systems and standard operating procedures to ensure a high standard of housekeeping within the area.
  • Look to continuously improve SOPS
  • To maintain the performance of the machine whilst meeting set KPIs in relation waste and quality.
  • To complete all relevant Line documentation
  • Making sure that quality checks, hygiene duties and GMP standards are adhered to
  • Looking at process improvements to operate more efficiently to increase productivity and reduce waste
    • In order to be successful as a Machine Operator you must:
  • Machine operating experience is essential
  • Experience within in a food manufacturing environment desirable
  • An inquisitive approach and effective problem-solving skills
  • A keen eye and understanding of process and continuous improvement
  • Flexible to change as the business continues to grow
  • Good communication, both written and verbal with a good command of the English language
    • Qualifications - Not essential but desirable
  • HACCP Level 1/2
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • IOSH
  • Knowledge of improvement techniques
