We are excited to be working alongside our esteemed client is currently in a period of expansion and due to this have a new opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional. Our client has a number of businesses that you will be the lead Health and Safety point of contact for. These includes their own Airport, Hospitality, Equestrian and Environmental business units. In your role as the Health and Safety Manager no 2 days will be the same so it is key that you are flexible in your approach to the working day. In this newly created role you will have a real opportunity to make this role your own.What will you be doing· Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs in accordance with UK health and safety regulations. · Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations. · Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks · Develop, update, and communicate safety policies and procedures to ensure all employees understand and follow safety guidelines. · Investigate and report on all incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented. · Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, incidents, inspections, and training programs. · Stay up-to-date with UK health and safety standards and ensure staff compliance. · Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure a prompt and effective response to emergencies. · Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with health and safety standards Skills & ExperienceExperience of dealing with Aviation would be a distinct advantage. UK CAA compliance background as preferable, or willing to undertake the training NEBOSH Certification, essential IOSH certification, essential In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislations and regulations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
