General ManagerLocation: Corby, NorthantsReporting to Managing DirectorLong standing Manufacturer of Gaskets, Seals and interior components for the Automotive, Safety Equipment, Off highway and Aerospace industries.Producing 10 Million pieces per year and exporting world-wide this small company requires a key member to ensure growth and improvement.Duties to include:Manage Commercial Office staff and Production staff, ensuring good communication between departments.Manage Quality and Continuous improvement using Kaizen and 5s techniques with QA Consultants assistance.Review systems processes and data collection in all departments.Manage EFAC?s ERP system ensuring updates and increase utilisation of the system, particularlyChair production meetings and ensure all actions are followed up.Examine all staff members duties/roles and re-organiseHandle all HR issues including Disciplinary and Grievance hearings.Attend Monthly Management meetingsThis is a very senior role in a small organisation, requires a high amount of flexibility and broad knowledge of managing an automotive biased division.High level of problem solving skills are required and ability to man manage, motivate and improve staff from a wide range of disciplines.Ideal CandidateA manufacturing background with both commercial and production acumen.Experience of the Automotive Industry and AIAG Handbook and quality proceduresReport writing and systems managementHigh level of Mircrosoft Office and IT expertise.Able to manage projects and tasks and ensure all personnel complete tasks in a timely mannerFacilitate change of mind-set and push through improvementsExperience of HR management.Please send application via Reed websiteNo agencies Required skills
