Job Description

Customer Care SupervisorSaint Gobain Performance PlasticsCorbyThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, proactive, trusted and driven Customer Care Supervisor to join our business. As a Customer Service Supervisor working for our Saint Gobain Performance Plastics brand you will be responsible for leadinga team of 3 customer service professionals in a varied and challenging role covering logistics, customer care, warehouse management, supply chain functions, distribution, CRM and team mentoring and development duties. Saint Gobain Performance Plastics is theworlds leading producer of engineered high-performance polymer products, making a positive difference in virtually every major industry across the globe.You will join a passionate, long serving and knowledgeable team, working in a challenging, fast paced environment where you can demonstrate your flair for problem solving, proactively detecting / facilitating resolutions for high level customer needs. Asa Customer Service Supervisor you will lead initiatives that will identify and provide a solution to ensure customer retention. The Customer Care Supervisor motivates and guides the Customer Care team members at the Corby site to achieve customer satisfactiongoals established by the company and tracks that attainment through implementation and use of key performance indicators. The Customer Care Supervisor will also be responsible for implementing and managing customer service initiatives and programs includingcontinuous improvement projects in customer service processes in conjunction with the Customer Experience team.What will I be doing in the role

  • Guide all customer care specialists in the execution of assigned tasks and ensuring that their services are of maximum satisfaction to the customer
  • Clearly, consistently, and effectively communicate with customers by phone, email and/or in person to receive orders, cancellations, and changes in product(s) or to clarify needs and requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers regarding the service we provide and finding the best solution for the customer
  • Lead the on boarding of all new higher level customers through credit and other internal systems to ensure the order fulfilment process sets the right first impression for new customers
  • Supervise a team of customer care professionals, including their development, coordination of work, time management, backs up and performance management.
  • Works closely with Customer Experience Manager and Human Resources at developing training materials and implementing effective training programs for the department to enhance their skills
  • Facilitate internal communications to sales representatives, manufacturing team, and management as needed to improve customer service processes
  • Works autonomously to resolve all level customer complaints concerning billing, products or services rendered, by providing timely solutions to the customer, understanding when high level customers need further escalation to upper management
  • Lead and supervise efforts to streamline the coordination of product shipments, expediting shipments, arranging pick-up of defective product, etc. with shipping department
