Job Description

Job Title: Contract SQL DeveloperDay Rate: £450 - £470 Location: Kettering, NorthamptonshireDuration: 3 MonthsThe client is seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer to join their IT team, contracted to support their Digital Transformation and PMO project activities related to Data Migration, Business Intelligence, and SQL databases. The successful candidate will collaboratewith project stakeholders and SMEs to ensure the seamless execution of SQL/SSIS development tasks.The Role:As an SQL Developer, you will be at the forefront of:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to effectively translate data requirements into solutions.
  • Designing and implementing SSIS workflows to support data activities.
  • Creating and optimising SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Identifying and resolving data issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Enhancing database code for better performance and scalability.
  • Documenting database design, processes, and procedures.
  • Providing support for legacy BI systems and developing new Tableau reports.
The Candidate:The ideal SQL Developer candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience in SQL database and BI system support.
  • Expertise in SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and data warehouse databases.
  • Proficiency in Tableau report development and data source integration.
  • Capability to troubleshoot data issues and optimise database performance.
  • Adept at creating comprehensive documentation for database-related processes.
  • Ability to support and train IT Operations teams to fill skill gaps.
