Job Description

My client is a rapidly growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Corby.Commercial Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring financial information and data is accurate and reliable.
  • Working with data, slicing and dicing it, analysing it, presenting it, talking people through it.
  • Identifying and driving process changes within the monthly reporting cycle
  • Performing monthly cost centre, profitability and other analysis and comparisons
  • Ability to confidently produce reconciliations of data across internal systems.
  • Assist Finance Director in optimising profitability and working capital through cost reduction ideas, reporting of KPI’s (stock turn, Debtor & Creditor Days)
  • Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are built and maintained.
  • Assist with the preparation of other key reports on financials and performance, reporting and highlighting required business interventions
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reporting and models
  • Contribute to projects, which support and promote the improvement of our control, reporting and business processes across the Group
  • Work with finance teams to ensure that the full end to end workflow is relevant and robust
    • Commercial Accountant Requirements:
  • Advanced Excel skills are required, including a good understanding of formulas and pivot tables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferably experience working with Aderant
  • Preferably part qualified or studying (ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • A self-starter with the ability to work unaided and to build working relationships with stakeholders
  • Team player - within the team and working more widely with other parts of Finance and firm
