An interest in Occupational therapy or Physiotherapy is an advantage but not essential.This LSA/Care Support Assistant role will in a specialist Autistic school for children 7-17, the school caters for a range of Autism, Complex Social Needs and academic ability. This role is situated with children whos Autism leads to severe Learning challenges,some will also have physical disabilities.Can you make the students life just that little bit better today, keep them safe and demonstrate the value of an education to the students In addition, can you keep the children safe You will get a great deal of SEN and safeguarding training, MAPA Trainingincluded.As an aspiring OT or Speech and Language Therapist, over the course of 10 years of qualification and solidifying of interest, you need to qualify and disqualify areas of genuine interest and where your skills need to be enhanced. .The Provision - Care Support Assistant Corby - Education and Training - Care Support Assistant Corby**7-17 EYFS, Primary, and Secondary aged students all with EHCPs for their Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and OCD, verbal and non-verbal children**be prepared for Personal care in this role due to the needs of the students, aged 7-17, male and female students.**Physical work combined with being pragmatic, making as much academic progress as each childs context allows**Number of Therapies introduced and holistic processes, a little progress is a cause for success here** Pathological Demand Avoidance and Pervasive developmental disorder**A Real focus on Early Years and Non-Verbal students, holistic techniques to gain engagement**Secondary aged students with levels of learning well below their stated age**Positive engagement, giving the children a sense of acceptance, talking therapy will not always work here so different approaches requiredIt is vital you are sincere about your objectives and know why you want to work in the SEN and mental health sector and provide the best possible foundations for vulnerable students who have suffered several traumas and have been tragically let down by theadult world.
