Business Development Manager - AggregatesJob Title: Business Development Manager - AggregatesIndustry Sector: Aggregate, Concrete, Asphalt, Stone, Decorative Aggregates, Paving, Walling, Decking, Timber, Fencing, Driveways, Commercial, Industrial, Civil Engineers, Groundworkers, Builders, Landscapers, Field Sales, Internal Sales, Customer ServiceOffice based: CorbyArea to be covered: Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, Lincolnshire & BedfordshireRemuneration: £30,000 - £35,000neg + Commission, OTE £45,000Benefits: Pool Car & Comprehensive Benefits PackageThe role of the Business Development Manager - Aggregates will involve:

  • Business Development Manager role promoting the sale of construction aggregates
  • Predominantly selling to civil engineers and groundworkers, however also selling to trade such as local builders and landscapers
  • 100% office based with 1-2 days a week spent out on the road visiting customers, often going on site
  • Going after projects within the housing, commercial, industrial and utilities sectors
  • Chasing and generating sales leads, cold calling on existing and new customers whilst cross selling where possible
  • Build and maintain positive relations with new customers and suppliers
  • You will be targeted monthly on retaining and growing existing accounts, whilst bringing on and developing new accounts
  • 60% account management, 40% new business
  • Updating the internal CRM system with all relevant information
  • Project sizes can vary from £1000 to £30-50m
  • Working within a sales team of 2
  • Full product training will be provided
The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Aggregates with:
  • Must have at least 1yrs sales experience within the construction industry
  • Open to a variety of associated construction sales backgrounds, such as timber or steel
  • Strong new business and account management skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Plenty of energy, passion and self-motivation
  • Personable demeanour with excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literate
  • Full UK driving license
