Job Description

The focus of the role will be to attract and secure new business by building strong professional relationships and outlining the excellent range of service support:

  • You will be given a target portfolio of clients including current, lapsed and potential new clients, supported by business data.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the business products and offerings, as well as an awareness of competitors and their offers.
  • Devise, design and present innovative and considered solutions for your clients to best deliver their requirements.
  • Preparation of final proposal documents for medium and large contracts with a focus on recommendations, financial justification, savings, profit stories etc.
  • Ensure regular communication with colleagues and management -both to optimise opportunities as well as ensuring account retention.
  • Contribute to developing sales materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Regular updates and maintenance of the company database along with accurate business reporting to management as requested.
  • The person This is an excellent opportunity for a tenacious sales professional with a passion for winning sales and building excellent relationships with your clients. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
  • Good B2B sales experience, ideally having sold services.
  • Experience from/an understanding of the technical service industry desirable.
  • Experience of selling to public sector clients (such as Education, Healthcare etc.) and/or Facilities Management would be an advantage.
  • Highly motivated and well-organised, with a passion to succeed and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent listening, solution selling, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Good problem solver, capable of managing processes and resolving issues whilst on the move.
  • Able to engage with a broad spectrum of people at all levels of an organisation, from on-site managers to senior business managers and directors.
  • Numerate and able to produce analysis from multiple data sources.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite essential, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
