Job Description

Accounts Manager EMEACorby basedHours - Monday to Friday Salary £40-45kOur global client, with a base in Corby, are recruiting an experienced finance professional on a permanent basis to work as Account Manager across Europe, Middle East and Africa.The position will perform a variety of accounting functions across UK and Europe, in accordance with the standard company policies and procedures, and will oversee, control, and analyse all general ledger transactions, cash disbursements and cash receipts,perform account reconciliations and analysis, participate in the annual budgeting process and assist operations personnel on an as-needed basis.The Accounts Manager role reports directly to the Managing Director and liaises with the North American Accounting and Finance Departments as required.Responsibilities:-

  • Assist with the production of quarterly projections and annual budgets.
  • Manage the month-end closing process; produce and analyse monthly management reports.
  • Prepare year-end work papers; perform calculations and analyses required by independent auditors.
  • Analyse and reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis in a formalized, documented process and prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Prepare and control data for the declaration of Intrastat information.
  • Preparation of VAT and other statutory filings.
  • Administer and control the payroll functions, including NI and PAYE contributions and annual returns.
  • Administer and control bank account transactions, culminating in monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Complete the cash disbursement cycle on a weekly basis.
  • Application of cash receipts to accounts receivable on a timely basis
  • Assist in the administration of company policies of Credit and Collection management.
  • Maintain fixed asset expenditure documentation
The successful candidate will have...
  • Attained a professional educational degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 3 Years professional experience.
  • Experience managing accounts across numerous entities and within Europe
  • Proficiency in a Windows based and JDE environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent self-organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple functions required to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output
  • Experience of working in a multi-site operation is essential
  • Experience of European payroll is desirable
