Job Description

Through ongoing investment in people and products we have created one of the industry’s premier lighting rental resources, perfectly placed to service any production type anywhere in the world.Job descriptionTo assist the workshop teams in administering repair tickets, taking items in and out of repair as advised. Keeping track of repair components and liaising with the repair team, suppliers and the Purchase order Administrator on ordering parts.Duties include:

  • Ensure all items entering the repairs department is properly recorded on the repair ticket system, and updates are added as repairs progress
  • Develop relationships with suppliers in order to know who to go to for what parts information
  • Maintain a spare parts stock, in co-ordination with the Technical Manager and repairs team
  • Add new stock information and pricing to RT pro and ensure pricing from suppliers is kept up to date (in conjunction with the Inventory Manager)
  • Working with the team to understand the priorities of the incoming repair stock and act as a point of communication from the Prep and Sales teams to advise on repair status for "in demand" items
  • Liaise with external repair suppliers and arranging shipping to and from suppliers with the transport team
  • Keep a system for ensuring all items are traceable when offsite with external repair suppliers
  • Monitor performance deadlines / ticket system, so items are not left undealt with
  • Liaising with the Technical Manager and Inventory Manager about retiring stock which is beyond economical repair
  • Manage pricing of repair tickets and liaise with the account managers
  • Co-ordinate repair tickets and damage picture evidence to present to production
  • Person specification
  • Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to learn the MBS stock control inventory system (Rental tracker Pro)
  • Must be able to confidently communicate with internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Be able to work under pressure to challenging deadlines
  • Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs
