Freightserve recruitment are looking to recruit an Import Seafreight Operative who has a good understanding of all Import Seafreight duties. The companies is based in the Colnbrook area. Main Purpose of Job: To be a key member of the Imports team ensuring the best possible client experience.Main Responsibilities:-1. Handle all sea imports, following the process through from start to finish.2. Complete import customs entries with necessary HMRC and in-house systems.3. Review and prepare all relevant documentation for all aspects of the transportation of goods.4. Liaise with customers and overseas agents on a daily basis.5. Resolve queries from clients and shipping lines.6. Complete quotations for new and existing overseas clients.7. Raise invoice and finalise job files.8. Liaise with the accounts team regarding client credit agreements .Knowledge, skills and experience required:-Essential• Experience of Import Operations.• A full UK driving licence.• A good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.• Able to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.• Strong communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.• Able to work as a member of the Import team, as well as staff in other departments.• A sound knowledge of IT - including Word and Excel.As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
