Job Description

We are working with an international service provider with over three decades of experience in providing multi-modal transport solutions to customers in all industry sectors. Our client is now looking to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them on apermanent basis.Job DescriptionYou must be a confident and passionate individual to take on the position with the ability to lead, develop and motivate the Imports team to consistently achieve the service and quality objectives.

  • Ensure that all customs entries are processed accurately and in a timely and effective manner.
  • Responsible for putting into place effective and efficient processes and procedures to ensure all Duty and Tax payments are made to HMRC and are billed to and collected from customers.
  • You will understand the HMRC customs clearance procedures and ensure that compliance with these procedures is always followed
  • Put into place effective and efficient processes and procedures
Role & Responsbilities
  • Process custms entries
  • Carry out custom clearance entries for courier/cargo import shipments
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the processes and procedures
  • Manage and lead the Imports team
  • Ensure 100% compliance with HMRC policies and procedures
  • Communication with various departments
  • Low value bulk clearance (BIRDS) and high value clearance
Essential Requirements
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Courier Import experience
  • Low value bulk clearance experience
  • Proficient in the use of CDS and CNS System
  • Administative background
  • Detail and results orientated
  • Able to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • Flexible, can do attitude
  • Able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet set deadlines
Desirable
  • MOU & AEO experience
