Job Description

My client is a market leader within the supply of natural stone and landscaping materials in the UK. They have enjoyed a busy 2020 even during the Covid pandemic and are now looking to employ a Front-End Developer to join their web development team. This is a full-time, permanent role to be based in their Covid secure office in Colnbrook, Slough.Role responsibilities:

  • Developing the front-end of their business website utilising HTML coding, CSS and JavaScript
  • Adding page code and styles, working with existing layout structures. Improving page speed optimisation, code modification and critical CSS
  • Optimising and testing page display, behaviour and UX for multiple device types and resolutions
  • Liaising with the graphic designer and senior developer, working as part of a creative team and sharing best practice
  • Working to strict deadlines whilst ensuring work is completed to a very high standard
    • Essential requirements:
  • Experience within a similar front-end development role (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) whether commercially or on a freelance basis. Those with a portfolio of design work would be prioritised
  • Degree or relevant qualification would be desirable
  • Excellent eye for design
  • Ability to work to set deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Intuitive problem solving
  • Driven with a determined work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in line with business needs
  • Must be a team player
  • Driving licence with own vehicle due to poor public transport links

  • Competitive base salary between £20k and £30k depending on experience
