Genuine long term ongoing work - temp to perm opportunity33 days holiday entitlement once contract receivedHome grown engineering firm, good team environmentWe are recruiting for a production operative position for a highly successful manufacturing business in the North Birmingham area, easily accessible from the areas of Erdington, Aston and Sutton Coldfield.Due to the location, all applicants for our Electronics Assembly Operative vacancy will ideally live locally for the purpose of public transport, or alternatively you will have your own car.This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their skills within the production/ engineering industry, starting from grass roots up.Main Responsibilities:o Undertake product assembly and ensure that all product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly builto Package productso Ensure order quantities are met and on timeo Ensure a high level of quality on all goods produced to relevant standards to include visual inspection o Correct use of equipment in the work areao Complete relevant production documentationo Maintain a clean and safe working environmento Support company initiatives in areas such as quality improvementSkills / Experience / Competencies Required from the Operative are as follows:o Previous experience in product assembly - in particular, electronic/ telematics productso Experience of working in a production environmento Work well under pressure and to deadlineso Able to follow departmental procedures in areas such as health & safety and qualityo Team player o High level of attention to detailo Competent user of PC equipmentHours of work for our Production Operative role are; 0800-1700 Monday to FridayRate of pay will be £9.50 per hour with eventual progression should you move into a more technical role.There will be temp to perm opportunities available upon completion of 12 weeks.If you are interested in applying for our Assembly Operative vacancy, please click to apply or alternatively email .
