Job Description

Buyer £24,000 +10% bonus paid quarterlyColeshillThe CompanyThis is an SME, that supplies into 110 countries with over 6000 customers that has a 5-star rating.Why would I want to work hereThe company invests heavily in training and development of staff, and provide internal communications, so you are always aware of what is going on in the business. The role comes with free parking, quarterly bonus, free teaand coffee, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and full training. Working hours are 8.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday. Work from home is available after 6 months in agreement with your line manager. There is also a 10% bonus which is paid quarterly.The essence of the roleResponsible for the planning, selecting and purchase of goods and services to meet the requirements of the business. Managing the business spend using robust forecasting and cost reduction methodologies, supporting business operationsthrough on demand and zero-defect supplyScope of the role Prioritisation of both internal and external stakeholders requirements to ensure expectations are met Communicate to internal stakeholders on key supply matters Deliver customer service and stakeholder satisfaction for procurement and support continuous improvement Work closely with vendors to process order requirements and maintain accurate lead times. Support corrective action in the resolution of delivery discrepancy. Support and report upon KPIs accessing quality and delivery performance Evaluate historical data to support inventory replenishment options and make recommendations to achieve optimum serviceabilityPrerequisites Our client is looking for ambitious candidates who are eager to begin their career in procurement You will be customer focussed and be a tough negotiator A role where there is lots to learn so you will need to be resilient and eager to develop CIPS Qualified is preferred but not essentialJob Number 5413
