Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for someone to join a well-known, established company in a HR Adviser role. The nature of this role is to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all staff, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation.As the HR Adviser you will be responsible for:

  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and other external stakeholders to attract and recruit new staff
  • Assume overall responsibility for the selection process for all internal and external vacancies
  • Issuing and maintenance of employee contracts & all other employee correspondence as appropriate.
  • The first point of contact for all HR queries; responding within a timely manner
  • Work closely with managers coaching and advising on all people issues; ensuring all matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
  • Responsible for managing all disciplinary and grievance procedures; arranging investigations and hearing when required
  • Monitor attendance and annual leave; to ensure data is accurately recorded
  • Assist the Operations Director with any project or business change initiatives
  • Manage the annual staff engagement survey and review the feedback making recommendations for change where required
  • Managing the reviews & annual appraisal process
  • Management of new starter training and ongoing employee training
  • Support the implementation of new policies and procedures; contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Processing new starters/leavers documentation, preparing contracts, offer letters and all relevant references
  • Administering of payroll information e g: salary adjustments, maternity pay, address changes etc.
  • The successful candidate for the role of HR Adviser will have:
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Generalist HR experience within an HR environment
  • Key experience of working with and advising line managers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and develop relationships across the business
  • Results focused with a real drive to achieve
  • CIPD qualified or part qualified to level 5 is advantageous
  • Good working knowledge of employment law and generalist HR is crucial as well as being able to demonstrate a strong understanding of current HR & recruitment issues
  • In return the HR Adviser will receive a basic salary of £27,000. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am- 5.30pm with 25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays, Personal Medical Insurance, Group Life Assurance plus Company Pension Scheme.Please Note: We do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
