Job Description

As our business continues to grow, we have a lot of exciting changes to make across the entire multi-channel spectrum.You will work closely with our trading, marketing and other commercial teams to understand our products and commercial opportunities in each category, and use this knowledge to create digital content experiences that maximise customer satisfaction and conversion rate on a brand new digital Salesforce platform.You will manage a Junior Digital Designer and will be responsible for the professional development of this individual and the growth of this crucial function.Excellent knowledge and experience of graphic and web design including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are essential as is knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely production and delivery of all digital assets, across website, display ads and email
  • Publish all digital content to our website with full creative ownership
  • Execute visual design stages from concept to final sign off and present designs and key deliverable to peers and executives
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, diagrams, and sitemaps
  • Create presentable UI design mock-ups of digital interfaces based on detailed briefs
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images to the brand guidelines set
  • Work with the Junior Digital Designer to design and layout marketing and promotion emails whilst maintaining brand guidelines
  • Maintain the artwork / design and functionality of promotion campaigns/events and any supporting elements
  • Work within brand guidelines and maintain a consistent multi-channel customer experience
  • Maintain a consistent tone of voice, editorial decision making, graphics approval, proofing and editorial copy, user experience throughout our digital content and establish and promote design guidelines, best practice and standards
  • Ensure analysis to measure content performance and inform business decision making, instilling a culture where the use of digital analytics is promoted as a tool to increase the value of creative production
  • Work with Digital Trading Manager to optimise website design and user-experience to increase conversion rate
  • Assist with UAT to ensure that products/features meet requirements across various user journey personas.
  • Self - manage a high workload with speed and efficiency
  • Requirements
  • A minimum 3-5 years’ experience working as a Digital Designer with both UX and UI experience
  • A portfolio of well-thought-out designs that went live, demonstrating your experience crafting interfaces and digital experiences
  • Proficient with Adobe CC. Primarily Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
  • Strong proficiency with wireframe and design tools like Sketch
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript advantageous
  • Experienced in typography and layout design.
  • Experience coaching and developing junior team members
  • Great communication skills, able to articulate to senior stakeholders the benefits of different design approaches and how they meet business objectives and customer needs
  • Self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
  • Able to work to deadlines and coordinate own work with that of others to ensure overall business goals are achieved
  • Retail/digital experience advantageous
