Job Description

Team Coordinator - Learning Disability Residential ServiceEarls Colne, ColchesterPermanent£11.50 - £12.00 per hourAbout the Role:You will work at Grammar School House part of Consensus Support Services. Grammar School House is a caring, nurturing residential service with 12 Bedrooms in the pleasant village of Earls Colne. near Halstead, Coggeshall and Colchester, providing support for up to 12 individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Some individuals may also have additional physical disabilities. The home is located within the lovely village of Earls Colne which is only 3 miles from Halstead, 4 miles from Coggeshall and 9 miles from Colchester and is rated GOOD with the CQC.You will be the Deputy to the Service Manager, supporting the manager to provide leadership to colleagues within the team and deputise for the Service Manager where designated. The Team Coordinator will undertake leadership tasks as designated in a professional manner, always reflecting the values of Consensus Support Services and in a person-centred way.The Team Coordinator will work within the team taking on specific responsibilities around rota management to ensure the needs of our supported individuals are met fully. You will ensure that comprehensive records are maintained and updated regularly. The Team Coordinator will model our Consensus values in all that they do. Provide support to colleagues and give clearly defined objectives and direction within their work efforts. Guide and mentor the staff team to enable them to help our supported individuals achieve their dreams and aspirations, as well as basic care and support needs. Enable our supported individuals to lead valued and fulfilling lives, maximise their independence to allow them to achieve their full potential, ensuring that the service is run in an efficient and responsible manner.Hours:

  • 35 hrs per week (14 hrs are admin/supernumerary and 21 hrs on shift)
  • Shift times are 7.30am to 2.30pm or 2.15pm to 9.15pm. Flexibility is required as and when you may need to meet with Night Staff Team.
  • Occasional weekend shifts on rota as and when required.
  • Flexible to work on a shift basis, and when required - to be on call.
  • Skills & Qualifications Required:
  • Significant experience working with individuals who have learning disabilities or complex behaviours.
  • NVQ Level 3 - in Health & Social Care or equivalent is essential.
  • Good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety regulations and working in a CQC Registered Service.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident, flexible and efficient.
