Job Description

Sheet Metal WorkerColchester - Easy access from the A12 & A120 & free on-site car parkingStable Temp to Perm position - January 2022 StartLate Shift: Monday to Thursday 2.45pm - 11.15pm & Friday 1.45pm - 9.15pmSalary: £24,336 pa with Overtime paid at time and a halfAn Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sheet Metal Worker to join an established international, world leader in design and manufacture of food processing machinery.The Sheet Metal Worker will be setting and operating Press Brake machines. Candidates need to have significant experience of working within a Sheet Metal manufacturing environment is essential and candidates must be able to read, understand and be able towork from drawings and have set and operated Press Brake machines.Main function is to bend, shape, cut out sections and to finish sheet metal products, to ensure quality and productivity are maintained.Duties will include:

  • Press Brake Setting and Operating
  • Carrying out tool changes between jobs
  • Measuring and checking dimensions
  • Operate hand tools.
  • Quality inspection of products and make adjustments as necessary
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment
  • Operate within safety guidelines and any operating procedures.
  • Complete necessary paper work.
  • Read, understand and work from drawings.
Flexibility:
  • Any other duties that may be requested from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the company
Salary/Shift:Late Shift: £24,336 pa, working Monday to Thursday 2.45pm - 11.15pm & Friday 1.45pm - 9.15pmLocation: Colchester, Essex - Easy access from the A12 & A120 & free on-site car parkingPlease bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
