Job Description

Senior Project Manager - VR/20865The Company & Role:HVAC Validation, Commissioning and Water Treatment specialists with a 15 year history are seeking an experienced office based Senior Project Manager to join their team in Colchester.The company offer environmental commissioning services and water treatment for companies across London and the South East. Having a commissioning and water treatment background is beneficial it is not entirely essential, however a mechanical systems knowledge and ability to read and understanding schematics, layout drawings, specifications and schematics IS ESSENTIAL. You will be office based but occasional travel will be require and own transport needed. Duties:

  • To accurately inspect tender drawings, calculate costs based on formula against quantities.
  • Follow up existing quotations and track progress.
  • Background knowledge of biocide washing, chemical cleaning and flushing to BSRIA standards, dosing inhibitors and biocides would be beneficial as would background knowledge of Air and Water Balancing to CIBSE codes.
  • Existing quotations need to be monitored and followed up, progressed then tracked, be self-motivated to liaise with clients and our suppliers and report back on findings, wins & losses.
  • Follow company processes relating to all aspects of your work.
  • Always look for opportunities to improve standard
  • Report any issues to the project managers / directors.
    • Experience:
  • Must have a natural instinct to investigate, probe and uncover where the high value work is and it is a fundamental requirement to build trust with clients, speak honestly with respect
  • Computer literate particularly with word, excel and Apple operating systems, familiarity with Sage would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of building services systems and fluid hydraulics is essential.
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and proven hands on skills, be numerically accurate and detailed.
