SEMH Teacher needed in Colchester EssexDo you have a background in SEMH or SEBD Have you had experience with challenging behaviour Want to work in an SEBD/SEMH settingThis specialist school based in Essex is looking for someone with experience of working with challenging children and young people. This school caters for young people who have been permanently excluded from school. This centre believes that all young people should be provided with appropriate education in a safe, stable, containing learning environment. The students are aged 11 to 16 and academically they range from mild learning difficulties to gifted and talented. They are given opportunities to succeed through the use of highly personalised individual education plans which are linked to the Care Pathway for their mental health problem. We see engagement with education in the widest sense as fundamental to recovery. The Therapeutic Education Department works closely with the nurses, doctors and therapists at the centre and with a wide range of professionals in the community.This role startsASAPand trial days will be held next week.This is a full time/long termposition and will lead to permanent if successful.Skills and experience required are as follows:SENEBDMental Health experienceASDExcellent behaviour managementCurrent DBS on the update serviceClassroom experienceWorking with primary or secondaryFull UK driving Licence Available to interview ASAPThe schools offers:A committed and enthusiastic staff.
