Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager / Care Manager to join our growing business.Job Title:Registered Manager / Care ManagerLocation:Colchester, Essex, CO6 2JY

About Us:Were a unique service that provides mental health, Autism and dementia community support to people in the Area of Colchester, Braintree, Witham and Chelmsford. We have a brilliant management team of which many are undergoing development and further training.We are looking for someone with the necessary experience, skills and passion to continue to guide and develop our service to be a high-quality service that continues to grow. The candidate will need a minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Manager andwill have run a service to a minimum level of good in all areas or have a similar experience in the health and social care sector.The role of registered manager will be to take responsibility for the full and safe running of the service, your duty will be to ensure we run a high-quality service that is caring, safe and effective, you will also have the responsibility to ensure thebusiness maintains growth and that we meet that growth with the correct staffing levels.You will be Qualified at Level 5 and be successfully registered with the CQC, you will be knowledgeable in all areas of our core business including dementia, mental health and Autism. As manager you will oversee the assistant manager and senior team andbe responsible for auditing the work and ensuring we maintain a high-quality service, this will include dealing with disciplinary issues, maintaining the rota, agreeing holiday, participating/running staff meetings, staff recruitment and taking on and dealingwith new referrals.Hours of work will be Monday-Friday 9pm-5pm predominantly office-based. Emergency contact for the On Call will be shared with the assistant manager and will cover weekends. This is an advisory role and unless there is an emergency there should be no needto go out on duty. On days where there is no senior in the office, and it is your duty week you will be on call. Weekends are covered but there may be a need for cover on rare occasions.As manager you will be responsible and take the lead of inspections ensuring all audits are fully compliant and meet the expectations of the CQC and Essex County Council, you will be expected to be fully prepared for any such event or inspection and organizethe management team to be prepared for this. This role is challenging and extremely rewarding and you will be instrumental in the development of the service, staff members and service user experience. You will be largely office based with an expectation todo some face to face each year to ensure you dont lose touch with the ground workings of the company.A bonus payment scheme is currently available for the manager; this will be based on growth in hours and quality of service as a balance to ensure growth and quality.Our aim is to move the company to an overall CQC level of Outstanding if this is something that motivates you and you have the commitment and time to put in to work towards this, then you could be the person we are looking for.Experience /Certification:
  • Level 5 in Health and social care or equivalent. (preferred)
  • Registered Manager: 3 years (preferred)
Bonus Scheme:GrowthOnce managing the service independently, you will be eligible to the bonus scheme. £1500 bonus every 150 hrs per week of growth at a CQC level of minimum good.This will be paid in recognition for the extra work and effort it will take to manage growth. Paid after annual review for sustained growth. One year growth.Quality£3000 bonus every for attaining and or maintaining overall CQC level of outstanding. Or £600 for attaining each area of outstanding without attaining an overall outstanding. (All other areas would need to be a minimum of good)I.E you obtain 2 areas of outstanding and 3 good with overall of good. This would equate to £1200 bonus.
