Reed Practice have been engaged by an award-winning UK listed firm to recruit an Assistant Manager to join their Private Client Tax team to be based in their modern new offices in Ipswich.This full time role will give you exposure to a wide assortment of clients giving you a broad portfolio of work, including HNWI’s – individuals and families – successful and inspirational businesspersons, trusts, company owners, property magnets and more.This is a very exciting time as the firm is looking to grow the team, so would suit those who seek progression. Client involvement and creating solutions is absolutely encouraged and you will work closely with colleagues across the region of the same calibre.Your role will be varied, dealing with compliance issues such as:Preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates.Completion of Capital Gains Tax returns IHT accounts and Trust registration filing requirements.Other aspects of this position include managing HMRC enquiries, remuneration planning and assisting on a wide range of tax advisory projects.As part of your professional development you will draw on your knowledge to not only providing a high level of service to your portfolio, but also review returns completed by other team members and juniors.We are keen to talk to those who have proven experience of working in an accountancy practice with a bias to personal tax.You will be ideally studying CTA, or be qualified by experience, with ACCA or ACA qualifications highly desirable.Experience of managing a portfolio of clients is required, including reviewing self-assessment returns by juniors, Capital Gains Tax planning, Remuneration planning, Trusts and Inheritance tax and Benefits in Kind.As well as flexible working the firm offers enviable benefits along with support on a professional and personal basis to progress your career.There is an attractive package on offer to the successful applicant, reflecting the experience you have.
