Job Description

This is a lovely JUNIOR BUYER role! The company is a specialist business and acts as a purchasing " hub" for heavy industry and manufacturing clients across the world who are looking for specific components . The business employs about 100 staff globallyand the Head office is in Colchester where the team will take orders from clients and then source technical products globally for dispatch. Your role is to source heavy industrial equipment and then liaise with the client , add a " finders fee" and then liaisewith the warehouse who will dispatch it . This is a lovely customer care and purchasing role in which you will be taking inbound enquiries from clients who will ask you tosource certain pieces of heavy industrial equipment. Your role is to source heavy industrial equipment and then liaise with the client , add a " finders fee" and then liaise with the warehouse who will dispatch it . THE ROLE: You will be supporting the UK and international sales team

  • Take inbound enquiries from industrial manufacturing clients based globally looking for a specific piece of heavy industry or essential spare part
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers across Korea, the USA and Europe to source the product
  • Negotiate a price and delivery schedule with the supplier
  • Add the finders fee (or margin) to the product and create a price quotation for the client
    • All post sales administration
  • Provide an outstanding level of personal customer care at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Fluent English. Other languages are helpful
  • Own transportation (the office is based in an old mill)
  • Previous experience in purchasing
