Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young peopleApollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to support a young girl with complex care needs.We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.Our service user is a happy, polite & bubbly young girl who lives with her family in Colchester.She enjoys age appropriate activities such as drawing and watching children’s programs on TV; her favourite is Paw Patrol and Hey Dougie!Throughout the day you will be supporting within her educational setting where she enjoys interacting with her friends and teachers. She has limited mobility but has the use of an electric wheelchair which she uses independently around school.During the night, you will be supporting at her home address where you will encourage a restful sleep, ensure her comfort, and carry out regular repositioning.Our ideal applicant will have experience of working within a similar role with children or young adults.It would be advantageous if you hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.Essential Experience Required• 6 months previous care experience• Medication Administration• Personal Care• Moving and HandlingDesirable Experience• Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)• Ventilation Management• Tracheostomy Care• Oral SuctioningWe have the following shifts available;• Days - 9am - 6pm• Nights - 7pm - 6amThis is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your clinical skills and experience, whilst delivering exceptional care and support to our service user and really making an impact on her day to day life.
