Job Description

We are currently partnered with a prestigious school who are an international organisation and educate over 3,700 students, from more than 100 countries.They are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor. This is a permeant full time position. They are based in Cobham and are offering hybrid working 2 day per week with 3 days based onsite at campus.To be considered for the position you will need to have at least 2 years experience working as a HR Advisor. Ideally you will have completed your CIPD level 5 but candidates with relevant work experience will be considered.£30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experienceRole

  • Lead, facilitate and coach managers and staff about applying HR policies
  • Ensuring procedures and regulations across are the employee lifecycle.
  • Advising on the best application of current employment law
  • Managing grievance and disciplinary meetings
  • Take lead on Employee Relations and managed a caseload
  • Assist in line management training where required.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment team to ensure that recruitment needs are identified with line management
  • Support recruitment and induction as well as on-boarding of new staff.
  • Making managers aware of employment vetting, pre-employment checks, immigration regulations and requirements and know what is required of them for to maintain compliance
  • Participate with the wider HR team in design and delivery of improved induction and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Monitor absence data and review cases with line managers to ensure that absences are closed, sick pay is correctly determined/approved and OH referrals are made where appropriate.
  • Work with the reward specialist to ensure that the annual salary review is delivered
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Administrators to ensure HR Information System, Single Central Register and staff files and correctly updated
  • Support HR Admin team with contract changes, offers and compliance during peak periods/ school holidays.
  • Ensure payroll changes are given to the HR Admin team in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide advisory support to line managers and employees on maternity, paternity & other leave requests
