Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Mental Health Support Workers. As a support worker, you will provide essential assistance and care to individuals facing mental health challenges. Your primary responsibilitywill be to support clients in their daily activities, promote their well-being, and facilitate their journey towards recovery.Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with mental health concerns
  • Assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies to manage their symptoms effectively
  • Implement personalized care plans and monitor clients progress
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and encourage client participation
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to promote their overall mental well-being
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in mental health support or a related field is preferred
  • Strong empathy and understanding towards individuals with mental health issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatments, and support resources
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Relevant certifications or training in mental health support is an asset
