Job Description

Health and Safety Advisor Coalville £30,000 - £40,000Days Company Profile:We are looking for a motivated HSE Officer to join a market leading manufacturing company of construction products. Reporting directly to the SHE Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. With progressive trainingand development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a strong HSE professional looking for their next challenging role within in asecure and stable company.Duties:

  • General Health and Safety Duties
  • Assist with the compilation and implementation of H&S procedures, policies and other documentation.
  • Conduct general risk assessments throughout production site/s.
  • Conduct workplace audits and report findings of non-compliance.
  • Promote a positive H&S culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Co-ordinate the availability of persons and facilities to ensure managers, supervisors and employees attend and complete identified Plant/H&S training to improve company performance as necessary.
  • Monitoring staff to ensure compliance.
  • Implementing and upkeep of the BRC-IOP hygiene standard.
  • Co-ordinating and carrying out BRC-IOP audits.
  • Maintaining the AssessNet system
Qualifications / Experience
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • A relevant training qualification, i.e. PTLLS, would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Good environmental management knowledge and experience
  • Experience of delivering training in a classroom environment
