Job Title: Sub Contract Manager (Procurement)Location: Faslane, HelensburghREF: 33362Salary: £43,000 - £53,000About the roleAt HMNB Clyde we work closely with our client, the Ministry of Defence and are currently looking for a Sub Contract Manager to join us.We manage critical infrastructure and nuclear facilities, with our support teams managing the delivery of Grounds & Waste, Retail & Leisure, Catering and Logistics functions. We also provide the MoD with highly specialised engineering support services.As part of the Supply chain organisation, the Subcontract Manager will have overall accountability, governance for the supply chain design, execution, and performance of sub contract services for all Estates programmes / project(s) across Clyde.Key Responsibilities:Establishing project requirements, including those driven by the future bid pipelineDesign and engagement of supply chains that meet programme requirementsSupporting the delivery of project objectives through the rigorous management of contract and supplier performanceAssuring Supplier Performance to time, cost and quality for contract requirements against scope of supplier responsibilityEstablishing process mechanism and control procedures for Project Management compliance throughout the Project life cycleEstablishing appropriate management information to support regular senior management reviews inclusive of key performance indicesWhat do I need to do the roleExperienced procurement practitioner with deep knowledge of current strategic procurement techniques and (Relevant experience in Sourcing & Procurement)Extensive experience working in complex project environmentsProven track record of delivering excellent supply chain performanceHigh quality communication ability, both written and verbalDeep understanding of contract terms and conditions and the ability to draft subcontract terms including management of flow-down terms from customer contractsDeep understanding of planning and implementing supply arrangements, managing supplier performance and scheduling of deliveriesDemonstrable understanding of cost models, for example in relation to the NEC models, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations and supplier costing modelsDelivery focussed with a pragmatic, hands-on approach that enables strategies to be fully executedAble to work in cross functional teams and manage senior stakeholders in an operational environmentWhat else do I need to knowThis role will be home based working for the foreseeable future.You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearanceAbout Babcock InternationalFor more than a century, Babcock, the Aerospace and Defence company, has been trusted to deliver bespoke, highly-skilled engineering services.
