The Golden Jubilee National Hospital, part of the Golden Jubilee Foundation, is home to Regional and National Heart and Lung services including the West of Scotland Optimal Reperfusion Service.The hospital is also a major centre for orthopaedics and the flagship hospital for reducing waiting times in key elective specialties. As a waiting times centre, the GJNH imaging activity is in excess of 70,000 imaging examinations per year.We are currently recruiting a highly motivated Radiographer with extensive post graduate experience within the radiology department, to lead the Radiographic team within this Service. Management experience would be an advantage, and further education in this area is desirable.The Department has 3 Digital radiography rooms, 1 Fluroscopy room, 1 Dexa scanner and 4 portable machines as well as servicing several orthopaedic and cardiac theatres. The Department provides a 24/7 on-call service for the Plain Film, CT aCath labs.The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, is accountable for the management of the radiographic team in the Plain Film department, with overall responsibility for day-to-day organisation of the workload, team and Patients, management, safety, IRMER, IRR, and associated administrative duties.Modality Leads work in conjunction with the Radiology & Diagnostics Service Manager and deputise for the Radiology Site Lead and performing associated duties for the Radiology Department.Applicants must be HCPC registered Radiographers with extensive clinical experience, some of which should be at a senior / supervisory level.Informal enquires should be directed to Caroline Handley onor.Interview date: Tuesday 23 March 2021 (provisional)
