Senior Scheduler (Fleet Programmes)Location: Faslane, Helensburgh, G84 8HLNaval MarineSalary Starting From £ 46,000 dependant on experienceAbout the roleWere looking for a Senior Project Schedulers to join us at HMNB Clyde, home to the core of the UK Submarine Service, including the nations nuclear deterrent. Partnering with the MOD and the Royal Navy, we ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them at HMNB Clyde and around the world, delivering complex submarine maintenance packages and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets that help maintain national security.As one of three senior schedulers, you will be required to lead and manage a team of schedulers, providing support to deliver UK Submarine maintenance projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets.Using your significant previous experience, youll provide an advanced level of project scheduling support, direction and coaching to project schedulers to ensure schedules are developed and maintained within Babcocks Project Management & Planning policies. Standards will be met with quality schedules that satisfy the requirements of the business and the needs of the customer.Main Responsibilities:*Lead and manage a team of schedulers, providing support to deliver Fleet maintenance projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets*Provision of resource and cost loaded schedules, with inputs from project estimators, that feed the Integrated Business Planning process*Provision quantitative schedule risk analysis to inform the project/programme bid process*Maintenance of project planning templates*Develop project scheduler skills through coaching and ensure that schedules meet Babcock Groups Project Management & Planning policies and standards *Conduct resource analysis to identify resource conflicts, over allocations, opportunities or corrective actions*Produce and maintain key date schedule and critical path analysis*As the prime point of contact for scheduling / planning issues, develop and maintain working relationships across project organisationWhat do I need to do the roleYoull be educated to HND or equivalent in a relevant project management or engineering discipline, or hold an appropriate APM qualification. This may however be formally wavered for a period depending on the level of relevant experience and specific capability.Youll need to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and the ability to self-manage and produce information and reports with little guidance.We would also like you to have the following:*Good knowledge of APM philosophy.*Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills*Proficient user of Microsoft Project*Highly proficient in the use of Primavera v.19 and Primavera Risk*An understanding of risk management and LfE and their relationship with the schedule*Knowledge of Acumen Fuse*Governance techniques and ability to demonstrating compliance to policy and procedures*Knowledge of change managementLastly, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential attributes for this post, as is the ability to interact confidently and effectively with senior management and both Babcock and MoD senior stakeholders.What else do I need to knowThis role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland.
